Rob Sims gets paid
Posted by Jose Romero
The Seahawks left guard -- we could see him move over to the right side this season with Mike Wahle expected to start at that spot -- received from the NFL what is known as "performance-based pay," it was announced today.
Sims, who started all 16 games last season and enters his third pro campaign, picked up an additional $245,566 based on his playing time. The league disperses the pay from a fund, with lower-salaried players like Sims getting a higher percentage of money.

Hopefully he'll be better at right guard. Not sure I like putting Sims there. Unlike last year Matt won't see it coming if Sims allows the defense to penetrate.

I hope Matt gets better protection this year, I hate it seeing him running for his life screaming....does something to me.

If you think Sims played well last year then you are not watching close enough. He was terrible. He has horrible foot work. He let the guy lined up right in front of him walk right past him without laying even a finger on the guy far too many times. That tells me he has no idea what he is doing out there. Hopefully the new line coach can help him with his techniques.

wouldn't it make sense that he would see the rush coming if sims allowed penetration from the right side? Left is his blind.

Thats cool i didnt know that they did that. I think he has earned it just for the fact that he has stayed healthy and been a solid contributer. Congratz Sims
