James Williams, who represents Alge Crumpler, said no deal with the Seahawks is imminent. Crumpler is headed back home and will likely visit one more team before making a decision on where he will play next year.
Again, no deal is done and not only that, but to say one is close isn't accurate either.
Williams did say Crumpler was very comfortable during the visit, partly due to the familiarity with people like Jim Mora, Tim Ruskell and Patrick Kerney, all of whom he worked with in Atlanta.
Crumpler already visited Tampa Bay and Tennessee.

So was it our offer or his medical findings?

The way I see it there is an offer on the table, but he has one other team to visit before making his decision. My guess is the team is the Carolina Panthers and hopefully he sees that there is no QB there to get him the ball and he will sign the dotted line with the Hawks.

"Williams said a report that Crumpler was on the verge of signing with the Seahawks, who have limited salary cap space, was incorrect."

That sucks he didn't get signed, he is alot better than our other TE's (Stevens, Pollard). They should cut/release Alexander and draft a RB and a TE. If we can't snag any FA's.

Mel Kiper (who is extremely annoying) has us getting Fred Davis at pick #25 in the draft so this won't be a huge loss. Plus, his physical may have gone bad which could result in a bad signing anyway. We'll see...

If winning is his desire he is stupid for not signing with Seattle. He will get a good contract and be able to play on a "comfortable" West coast offense that desparately wants a TE to throw to. Wasn't that his big beef in the past? He is going to regret this if he goes for money rather than the chance to win big. Right now for Crumpler to hesitate makes him look pretty stupid. Listening to your manager too much buddy.

Yea turn down a good contract on a team that want's to feature a TE on a comfortable west coast offense. He will regret this if he doesn't sign with a team that can offer what Seattle offered.

Enjoy Green Bay Alge! I think you'll put them over the top. Heck, you'll just add to a team that put a beating on the beloved Hawks.

"The Titans are on the verge of making their first big move in free agency, as the team is expected to sign former Falcons tight end Alge Crumpler, according to sources familiar with the situation.
An announcement could come as early as Monday, barring any last-minute complications."
