Sean Locklear about to be locked up
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Offensive tackle Sean Locklear has agreed to a five-year contract extension with the Seattle Seahawks, according to ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli. He reported the contract includes $12 million in so-called guaranteed money, which is bonuses and salary Locklear is virtually certain to earn. The maximum amount of the deal is $32 million.
Locklear was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on Feb. 29. With Marcus Trufant designated the franchise player, that's a second of Seattle's free-agent priorities taken care of. Kicker Josh Brown remains unsigned. Same for wide receiver D.J. Hackett.
The Seahawks have not confirmed the deal with Locklear, an indication that the final paperwork for the deal is not completed.

SIGN Josh Brown already!!! He is a clutch kicker that also contributes on Kickoff coverage and strengthens our Special Teams. I am excited about Trufant and Locklear, but let's lock up Brown!

Dude, Ken Hamlin played better than both of our safeties this year. Plus he went to the Pro Bowl. I'm still a big fan of Hamlin, after enduring everything that he has. He wanted to resign with Seattle, and wanted a two year deal, and even Holmgren said that he wanted to do that. But management thought otherwise. He played his guts out down here in Dallas. I can't wait to see Stanback tear it up here as well. Gotta pull for my NW boys!

Good for Hamlin getting a nice payday this year- If Hamlin was on the Seahawks and Grant on the Cowboys, it would've been Grant in the Pro Bowl not Hamlin. Grant is twice the cover safety that Hamlin will ever be.

I have a feeling that when Walter retires, they may shift Locklear to LT.
Ken Hamlin had a good season and I was a fan of his. Maybe not the most cerebral player and cover guy, but a true thumper at SS. I'm still a fan of his.

everyone is calling on the team to sign brown. i think we have to lock up DJ Hacket. when he was healthy he displayed star qualities last year. i think he could go for 80-1200-10

Hackett is good, but injuries kept him down. Burleson will have a big year. We may need Hackett since Branch I think is out for a while?? I am not saying we should sign hackett because we have a lot of needs and a lot of depth at WR and we need other help let the other guys step up. Hackett is bittersweet because he is a solid player I just don't know if the Hawks are gonna keep him.

Free Agent Pick Up:
1. Let's sign Crumpler for a reasonable amount. If not will need to pick up a tight end in the 1st or 2nd round.
Draft Pick Up (Based on we get Crumpler as Tight End.)
1. Get a running back in the 1st round. (Felix Jones or Jonathan Stewart)
2. Get big body defenisive tackle in the 2nd round.
3. Get another offensive lineman in the 3rd round.
