Jim Mora, five-year contract

President Tim Ruskell said at the team's announcement the Seahawks agreed on a five-year contract with Jim Mora, the final four of which he will serve as Seattle's head coach.

5 years is pretty serious stuff. I think I can deal with Mora. Better than learning next year of a random guy.

I hope he's good ( moar) I don't think I could I could take a long streak of crap football again from the Hawks, I'm getting to old..

Not a good idea for Mora. Hard act to follow. Also, I hope he's able to have a little more leadership presence than the guy who did smelling salts on the sideline with his players. Kind of reminded me of Howard Dean's moment....Yeeeeehaw!

As an NFL coach I just don't see the attraction?
He won his first year and went to NFC championship and lost. Then finished 3rd with an 8-8 & 7-9 record in the division.

If he does that here both him and Ruskell will be run out of Seattle!

Sounds about right. Matt H. will probably be near retirement by the end of Mora's deal. So that gives the management an opp to see how Mora does with a new QB and O-line.
