Not Pro Bowlers, but singers. Seahawks kicker Josh Brown and fullback Leonard Weaver will appear on TV this Saturday at 9 p.m. on cable's Gospel Music Channel. The two were part of the NFL All-Star Choir, an ensemble that featured current and former players from all 32 NFL teams, that performed last Friday in Phoenix as part of Super Bowl festivities.
I was in Arizona during Super Bowl week and heard this event was fantastic and very emotional, so it might be worth tuning into. If only just to see Brown, who I know loves music, and Weaver, who can really sing, do their thing.
The Super Bowl Gospel Celebration 2008 re-airs on Sunday at 7 a.m. and noon.
