D.J. Hackett will be game-time decision
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Wide receiver D.J. Hackett was on the field for stretching at practice on Thursday [Ed note: This was corrected. It earlier stated "Friday" because playing a Saturday game has apparently skewed Mr. O'Neil's perception of what day it is], but was not present for the team portion of the workout. Coach Mike Holmgren said afterward that Hackett's right ankle was a little sore and his availability on Saturday in Green Bay will be a game-time decision.
Hackett injured the right ankle twice during the season and played in six of the team's 16 regular-season games. He led the team with more than 100 yards receiving on Saturday against Washington. Holmgren said Thursday's rest was more precautionary.
"Instead of making it a little worse, I think I'd rather have him on Saturday," Holmgren said.

Sounds like he just needs some rest before Saturday. Holmgren knows what he is doing. I have read that Green Bay has some folks sitting out of practice like Woodson, Jennings, and Nickel corner Blackmon. I think Hack will play.

I gotta believe DJ will play. We need every receiver to have a chance to nuetralize GB's CBs and DJ's height gives him a great chance at the ball.
Speaking of GB CBs did Woodson practice today????

McCarthy described his team as "healthy as hell" today. Woodson will definitely play this week. Is there any chance that Hackett and Branch are in fact the same person, seeing as they never play together. Losing Hackett would be a really big blow.

"...at practice on Friday." Did you mean Thursday?

The packers cold weather mystique is history! Lossing to the Bears 35-7 late in the season and ironicaly blaming it on the weather was the death knell! In the past five years they've lost to two indoor teams, Atlanta and minesota at lambeau in the playoffs! I'm telling you Hawk fans, the packers are ripe for the picking! Seahawks 28 Packers 10

Not a "typo" Friday practice before Sunday game is the last so if we play Sat the last practice is on Thurs and still called Frid,\.
DJ will be ready-for sake of precaution . he was rested ,in my opinion. GO-SEAHAWKS.

Any word on why Hackett is injured now? Did he tweak it in practice or the last game? Was he hurt during the last game and just toughed his way through it? Did he play the whole game last week?
