See how AccuScore sees it

Zach Rosenfeld from AccuScore called and emailed me some interesting stuff about how his company projects this game to go.
He says:
"After 10,000 simulations, our data lists the Seahawks as a 57.8% favorite to beat the Redskins this weekend.
AccuScore has run more than 10,000 simulations for every playoff game, calculating how each team's performance changes in response to game conditions, opponent's abilities, roster moves, weather and more. Each game is simulated one play at a time and the game is replayed a minimum of 10,000 times to generate forecasted winning percentages, player statistics and a variety of game-changing scenarios. Here's AccuScore.com’s analysis of the Seahawks vs. Redskins:"

Interesting stuff. They predict stats and other things. Worth a look.

Maybe I can have 14.5 sacks this year by sacking the rams 49's and cardinals over and over then not showing up at all in any of my other games. Would that make me good???????
I mean look at all my sacks, it doesn't matter that I had SEVEN GAMES without any! Who are we playing this week the 9ers, i'll be ready and overrated!

We will see how hilarious everyone thinks Matt's gay pornstar mustache is when Andre Carter gives him a chocolate bandito mask.

Yeahhhhhhh we're just soooooooo overrated...
- We won FOUR divisional titles IN A ROW.
- We made the playoffs 5 YEARS in a row now.
- Went to the SuperBowl 2005, made O.T. in the Divisional round AT the Bears in 2006
_ ONLY team to break "the SuperBowl losers curse" in last SIX years
- In the past four years no other NFC team has won more games (51) than the 'Hawks have
- Qwest Field is home to more false start penalties (68) for opponents than ANY other stadium in the NFL since 2004.
- NO other NFC team has had winning records the past five seasons other than the 'Hawks.
- Since 2002, The Seahawks are 34-7 at home.
- Seattle's secondary LED the league allowing only 15 TDs this season
- Seattle's defense LED the NFC this season with 20 interceptions.
- Alexander is 2ND ALL TIME in rushing TDs in a single year
- Shaun is 7th ALL TIME in rushing TDs
- Matt just got his 3rd PRO BOWL appearance
- 6 PRO BOWLERS this year
and by the way...NO TEAM picks which conference it is in, or which division, or what their schedule will be, OR how their opponents will do in any given year

This is the only statment worth anything from what you wrote.
If the redskins played highschool teams everyweek I think they would do pretty well too. It's AMAZING the Hawks found a way to lose 6 games with the games they played. They should get an award for that!
Honestly and objectivly, do you really think its harder to win 10 games with the easiest schedule in the league or to win 9 with the second hardest?

All you 'Skins fans talk about is "schedule" and "strength of schedule".NOBODY knew how the season would play out.
NOBODY knew how our division would play out.MANY of the so called "experts" PICKED the Cardinals or Niners to even win the NFC WEST. Just as they did last year.
WE DIDN'T CHOOSE OUR DIVISION ok ? And neither did the Redskins.
We didn't make the Rams have so many injuries, or Leinart go down, or Alex Smith to separate the shoulder ok ?
AND We played MOSTLY backups against the Falcons, all linebackers were pulled in the 2nd half, Matt didn't play and neither did Shaun in the 2nd half.We used different combinations of people and used substitutes starting in the 1ST QTR...so you can stop talking about the Falcons game.WE were winning 10-0 when all our starters were playing jeez.
All you can control is your OWN winning and losing. Not the schedule or how it actually plays out.

Is the NFC East the hardest division in the NFL?
Yep.
Is the NFC West arguably the weakest?
Yep.
Does that mean jack?
Nope.
The skins would have a much better chance to win if the game was on their turf. But it isn't. I say, big deal if the rest of the NFC Worst are a bunch of bums. We don't care what you think about our division. By the time you leave you will respect the Seahawks and the city of Seattle. The Hawks are one of the best home teams in the NFL. That is a matter of fact. The 12th man is in the house, and can effect the outcome of a game at Quest Field. That is a matter of fact. The skins were 5-7 before their string of four consecutive w's that got them in. It was a good run, but the fairytail is over. Emotion can only take you so far. It should be a good game, but in the end its Hawks 24, Skins 17. You heard it here first.

An interesting comment on the Skin's last game - after GB blew one in Chi, Dallas had NOTHING to play for, except to keep healthy. If Dallas NEEDED that game, the Skins might be sitting at home now, watching Minn play, since Minn might have turned it up knowing they had a chance, if Dallas was motivated.
However, I have no animosity against Skins in general; I was glad to see Minn get shut out of the playoffs, because of Hutchinson's ego. We would have matched a dollar figure, but he wanted top billing to boost his ego. I hope his ego is shot now.

Not a chance. I'm dialing in from DC, looking at your comments. You can talk about 12th man all you want, and you can down-play the emotion aspect. Your offense is a cute-sy pass 1st attack. We'll figure out the scheme, no problem. And once we have -- are you going to run the ball? Good luck. Our QB is a veteran playing his butt off. One of the best ratings in the league (past 4 games). He did this in horrible weather, heavy rain (DC) and 40 mph wind gusts (NY). Thats poise, my friends. 12th man...? We held Dallas to 1 yard. You going to tell me that they weren't trying. No one gives up that much. You say you cant blame your pathetic division and schedule? I agree, but then again, you havent been tested...that is until tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure Hutchinson's ego is fine. He took that and your running game with him.

Yes, Hutch took our running game up north, and helped Adrian Peterson have a great year. So why are the Vikes sitting at home?
Yukedy-yuk.

Thanks for the link, I love accuscore simulations. This is one of the most thorough one's I've seen. I'd be very interested to see what the research shows in terms of accuracy of the so called accuscore. Oh, and I sure hope it's right on Saturday!
