Kentwood's Smith named No. 1 for Class of '10

Posted by Tom Wyrwich

Rivals.com released its new basketball recruiting rankings for the Class of 2010 (juniors) today, and Kentwood center Josh Smith has vaulted to the top of those rankings.

Take a look at his college list, and it's longer than the Seahawks depth chart at receiver. Smith had a big summer, earning mention from newspapers and Web sites across the country. Most recently, he and top sophomore Tony Wroten played at the Boost Mobile Elite 24 even at New York City's Rucker Park. Smith had the game's only double-double, while Wroten -- one of two sophomores in the event -- scored four points.

Aaron Bright, a guard at Bellevue, is 74th on Rivals' new list.
