Darcy Burner to lead progressive group in D.C.

Posted by Emily Heffter

Two-time 8th Congressional District candidate Darcy Burner has accepted a job that will let her work with Congress as the head of a progressive policy group.

Burner, who lost two bids for a congressional seat here in Washington, has moved to Washington, D.C. to become executive director of the American Progressive Caucus Policy Foundation.

In a news release, the foundation says it "serves as a communications, fact finding, research and education center for progressive leaders and other public policy-makers, issue advocates, the media, and the general public."

Burner, a Democrat, lost to Republican U.S. Rep. Dave Reichert in 2006 and 2008.
