McCain vs. Obama: live-blogging tonight's debate

Posted by blog

Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama will face off tonight at 6 p.m. PDT in the second of three debates.

The Republican and Democratic presidential nominees will focus on domestic issues in a town hall-style debate at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn. NBC anchor Tom Brokaw will moderate. All network news and cable news channels will broadcast the debate.

Visit this post during the debate to weigh in on the candidates' performances and to see what others are saying.

There are three Caucus Blog participants that will be driving tonights discussion.

They are...

Dave, Paul and Carey.

Carey says about herself:
"I definitely have a point of view. Not only am I a long time Democrat who has supported Obama since he formed his exploratory committee, I am also disabled with Parkinson's disease and living on Social Security since the relatively young age of 47. I depend on the solvency of the US Government and the Medicare and Social Security safety nets. The current state of the economy and Republican desires to privatize or cut these entitlements scares me. I hope the debate tonight sticks to the issues."
