Triunfel out 4 to 6 months

Just got word that Mariners infield prospect Carlos Triunfel will miss four to six months of playing time -- essentially, he's done for the year -- after undergoing surgery in Seattle today. Team medical director Dr. Edward Khalfayan repaired a damaged ligament in Triunfel's ankle. The surgery was also done to help better allign the fibula bone that Triunfel broke while sliding into second base last week during a Class AA game.
Khalfayan was assisted by Dr. Martin Mankey, a foot and ankel specialist.
Triunfel is to start the rehabilitation process in two days.
