M's sign Stark
Posted by Jose Romero
The Mariners announced that they have signed RHP Denny Stark to a minor-league contract. Stark, 33, was originally drafted by the Mariners in the fourth round of the 1996 amateur draft and made his major-league debut on Sept. 15, 1999.
Seattle traded Stark to the Colorado Rockies in 2001 along with Brian Fuentes and Jose Paniagua for INF Jeff Cirillo. He won 11 games for the Rockies in 2002.
Stark hasn't pitched since 2005, when he spent the season in the Cleveland and Colorado minor-league systems. He's coming back from two Tommy John surgeries.

One thing that I have liked about Wilkerson is that he's drawing walks....and about the only one doing it.

He was a big leader for us in the past and now coming back after two Tommy Johns.... shows perseverance. I wish him the best of luck.

I swear that the Mariners make moves just so the 50 or so front office staff have job security.
