RSVP Here for Live Blog Event

So, we've gotten the go-ahead for that Seattle Times Mariners Live Blog Event, to be held on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at our newspaper's main auditorium on 1120 John St. Should be a fun evening. I'll be your host, we can argue with each other until we're blue in the face, and then you can have a chance to win a pair of tickets to see the Mariners play. We'll all get to know each other a little better and maybe continue on talking Mariners and baseball even after the official event is done. A crew will be filming the event and we will then post the footage to the blog as well. We're going to be a lot more interactive this year. Should be loads of fun. We'll have name tags for all of you who want to ID your on-screen names to your fellow bloggers. Even if you just lurk here without posting comments, you're more than welcome to come out and talk some Mariners baseball. We won't force you to wear name tags.
Many of you have emailed in asking me how to RSVP. Here's how. Send your RSVP email to marinersblogevent@seattletimes.com. We have limited space, so we'll need to receive your RSVP ahead of time: name and phone number and email address please. No cost to attend, but the sooner you RSVP, the better, if you want to reserve a seat. I'll work on the refreshments part of it.
Thanks everyone! Getting excited about spring training yet? I sure am. The numbers we've received for this blog all winter, even with sporadic posts, is better than anything we'd imagined.
