Bombing fallout

During the weekend, John F. Burns, whose reporting from Baghdad for the New York Times has been superlative, filed a thorough, and wrenching account of the explosion that ripped through a Baghdad marketplace on Friday, killing between 35 and 55 people. Iraqis -- and Arabs elsewhere -- are convinced a U.S. bomb or missile caused the damage. The U.S. command says it is not sure what caused the blast. Burns reports that it's impossible to determine the cause.
