Peter Arnett fired by all

Earlier today I noted that Peter Arnett had described the U.S. war plan as a failure on Iraqi TV, which was likely to cause him some problems. It did. NBC, MSNBC and National Geographic Explorer all fired him. Arnett later apologized for his "misjudgment." Mac Owens of the National Review describes Arnett as Iraq's "weapon of last resort" and also tries to lend some perspective about the U.S. war plan and the situation on the ground in Iraq.
