Jrue Holiday says it's UW or UCLA

Posted by Bob Condotta at 4:42 PM

Highly-touted guard Jrue Holiday of Campbell Hall High in North Hollywood, Calif., has narrowed his choice of colleges to UW and UCLA, according to a story published today by the LA Times.

Interestingly enough, the story is actually dated May 11 --- tomorrow (maybe time moves faster in LA).

The story quotes his mother, Toya, as saying that her son --- a 6-4 guard generally regarded among the top several recruits in the country for the Class of 2008 --- has whittled his list to just those two schools, each of which holds an obvious pull.

His older brother Justin Holiday, a 6-6 swingman, has already signed to play at UW beginning next season, while UCLA is the hometown school coming off two Final Fours.

The story further states that Jrue Holiday will take an unofficial visit to UW on June 10. He also visited UW in December when he accompanied his brother to a Husky basketball game.

UW and UCLA also were among the finalists for forward Drew Gordon of San Jose, who this week chose the Bruins.
