Bone to interview for WSU job

Posted by Bob Condotta

Well, that didn't take long.

The Oregonian is reporting that WSU has already contacted Portland State about interviewing Ken Bone to replace Tony Bennett as head coach of the Cougars.

Bone is a former UW assistant who spent three years with the Huskies under Lorenzo Romar helping lay the ground work for the turnaround of the Huskies, including playing a big role in the recruitment of Jon Brockman, who played for Bone's brother, Len, at Snohomish HIgh.

Bone at WSU would add another dimension to the UW-WSU rivalry given the nature of the relationship between Bone and Romar and the rest of the UW staff.
