Brockman gets his revenge --- UPDATED
Posted by Bob Condotta
Only a couple weeks into this whole Twitter thing and UW forward Jon Brockman is already learning some innovate ways of using his page.
Saturday night, after UW's win over the Cougars, Brockman posted a phone number on his Twitter page of a WSU fan who had called his cell phone and left text messages throughout Friday night. Here's a link to his Twitter page with the message in question dated March 7. On his Twitter page, Brockman wrote "he called me 25 times last night, let him have it.''
Brockman said Monday his phone was on silent "so it wasn't bugging me.'' But after the Huskies won, he decided to get some revenge, posting the number and asking Husky fans to call it and remind him who won the game.
"I've got to use it to my advantage, I guess,'' Brockman said.
He said he knows that "a lot of people'' called the heckler. Brockman says he doesn't know who it was but that the incident ended well.
"I got a message from the guy and he said 'well played, nice work,''' Brockman said. "It was all in good fun, I guess.''
Brockman's said he's not sure how his cell phone number got out there but noted that he has a lot of old high school friends at WSU --- he said one of his current roommates is a WSU graduate.
"Somehow it got out there,'' Brockman said.
UPDATE --- The Seattle Weekly actually went the extra step and talked to the guy who made the calls to Brockman to get his side of things.
