Ranking the Pac

Two weeks into conference play, no real change at the top.
, UCLA --- Has won three straight road games to start conference play by an average of 72-60.
, Cal --- Will be interesting to see the reaction Mike Montgomery gets on his return to Stanford Saturday.
, Arizona State --- So much for Herb Sendek's deliberate offense. ASU is averaging 76.5 points in Pac-10 play, second behind U.
, Washington --- Next few spots are pretty indistinguishable and subject to rapid change. But we'll go with Huskies here for now. Sweep of Oregon schools would solidify upper-half status.
, Arizona --- Who knows which Arizona team is going to show up game-to-game? Fittingly, Arizona is averaging 61.5 points in Pac-10 play, allowing 61.0 en route to 2-2 record.
, USC --- But Trojans are starting to make you wonder. Fresh phenom DeMar DeRozan is 0-14 on three-pointers this season.
, Washington State --- Cougars showed some life in beating the Cardinal. Sweep in Oregon would revive post-season hopes.
, Stanford --- So how will Stanford recover from two one-point, last-second losses on the road? Stanford scoring 68 points per game in Pac-10 play, 76 for the season.
, Oregon State --- Beavers surely thinking they can get one this weekend with UW and WSU coming to town. Not helping themselves with 63.6 percent free throw shooting, worse even than UW.
, Oregon --- Only winless team in conference play, Ducks look like a squad ready to implode, which should have UW and WSU wary this weekend.
