Brockman progressing just fine
Posted by Bob Condotta
The first Pac-10 coaches conference call of the season is underway and UW coach Lorenzo Romar just said that he thinks Jon Brockman is progressing just fine and will return to action Saturday against Eastern Washington.
"He's getting better,'' Romar said. "He won't practice today but he's getting better. He'll be OK. It's not a long-term injury, at least we don't believe that at this point.''
Brockman sprained his right ankle in practice Saturday and sat out Sunday's win against Portland State. He didn't practice on Monday and as Romar said, he won't today.
But Romar said he would be "surprised'' if Brockman missed the Eastern game.
Romar also said there was up update on Tyreese Breshers, meaning no decision yet on whether he will play this season or redshirt.
