Huskies to play in Maui Invitational in 2010
Posted by Bob Condotta
The announcement has come today that the Huskies will be one of eight teams to take part in the Maui Invitational in 2010.
It will be a star-studded field as Connecticut, Kentucky, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Virginia, Wichita State and host Chaminade University of Honolulu are the remaining scheduled teams for the 27th edition of one of the premier tournaments in college basketball.
It will be the first time UW has played in a Hawaii tournament since Nov. 1998 when the Huskies won the Big Island Invitational in Hilo, Hawaii. That was a team that advanced to the NCAA Tournament under Bob Bender, losing in the first round.
