Heat picks up Jones
Posted by Bob Condotta
In case you missed it, the Miami Heat signed former Husky Bobby Jones on Tuesday. Sounds like he has to stick on the roster until Aug. 15 to get his contract guaranteed for next season, which would then increase his chances of making the team.

Without a doubt, he was one of the best to put on a purple jersey. So valuable and great to watch. Sure would be nice to find a replca.

I really hope Bobby makes the team..Miami lost Ricky Davis to the clips and he was a total black hole..I think Bobby gives them a guy who can play D on 3's and maybe some 2's becuase the Heat don't know what kind of D Beastley will play. Obviously B-Easy is a better Offensive player but Bobby has him on the Defensive side.
WSUx3...Your a complete MORON!!!!!! Derrick Lowe will be lucky to even play in Europe with all these NBA'ers jumping ship...Maybe Weaver and Lowe and can play in that 3ba league.

"Jones originally signed with the Heat as a free agent on March 12, appearing in six games. He averaged eight points and four rebounds in 23.8 minutes per game for Pat Riley's injury-depleted roster, but then was released after leading the Heat with 15 points in a March 21 game against Washington."
Jones was obviously not informed of the Heat's tank policy in order to get the first pick. They got rid of him so he couldn't mistakenly make them competitive.
