Brandon Roy interview
Posted by Bob Condotta
He's best known for his basketball, but Brandon Roy showed a good ability to pinch-hit recently when he was called on to serve as the featured counselor at Paul Pierce's Skill Academy camp last week in Los Angeles. Seems Pierce was too busy celebrating his recent NBA title to attend.
Anyway, SlamOnline.com caught up with Roy at the camp for this Q-and-A in which he says he never really expected to have this much NBA success right out of the gate.

That's awesome, especially with some big Husky recruits at the camp (ie. Avery Bradley, Michael Snaer, etc.)

Two Questions: 1. Would Roy miss his own camp if his team won the championship? 2. Would Pierce fill in for Roy if Roy team's won the chamionship?

Love the B-Roy news, Bob. Any word on whether he will finish his UW degree so we can finally retire his jersey? I can't think of a more deserving player in recent history.
