A couple quick notes
Posted by Bob Condotta
As the title says. ...
--- Jeff Goodman of Fox Sports follows the Andy Katz report from Monday, saying that UW assistant Paul Fortier is one of four finalists for the head coaching job at Brown though he lists a couple of different names among the other three. Among the names Goodman includes that Katz didn't is Ohio University head coach Tim O'Shea, coach of the team that beat Brown in the first round of the CBI in March.
--- He also reports that Emmanuel Negedu, now free of Arizona, is looking at Indiana, Tennessee, Memphis and Georgia Tech.
--- Not to just make this all about Goodman stories, but he also had this interesting piece today on the academic issues facing Arizona recruit Brandon Jennings.
--- Arizona, however, picked up a player as guard Kyle Fogg said he will sign with the Wildcats. He will be eligible to play next season and adds some depth to a backcout that remains pretty uncertain.
All for now.

It says quite a bit about the state of the Husky Program when every other article on a Husky Blog is about my Arizona Wildcats....hmm, is someone feeling irrelevant?

Meatball,
It's May...not exactly prime time for college hoops. Unless your team is sinking under a wave of controversy (UA, USC, etc.). What else is there to talk about on a college hoops blog this time of year? If there was any news concerning the Dawgs, Bob would have it. That's the thing with stability...it can be boring to those who can't appreciate it.

Grant- Yeah 24 years of the NCAA Tourney isn't stable. We have our most tumutoulus year in the last 30 years, and we still had a better year then your FBI pick-up game playing club.
Keep telling yourself whatever you have to to get through the day, but the reality is your Huskies are completely irrelevant.

Keep telling yourself that you feel no threat from UW, while you spend hours posting in the comments section of a UW Basketball blog.

Meatball - "but the reality is your Huskies are completely irrelevant."
Then please tell us why you live on the irrelevant Dawg Blog and feel the need to tell us how superior the Mildcats are. Do you do this on all the irrelevant team's blogs. Which irrelevant team's blogs do you decide not to post comments on?
My theory is that you feel threatened that the Dawgs successful recruiting efforts are going to keep UofA from staying at the front of the Pac. I think you believe that your propaganda may have some influence on recruits and attitudes of the general public.
You are probably also spamming people that Obama is a muslim. Same principle. Fear of the Dawgs is what is driving you to post. Bow down to Washington Meatball.

Maybe if the meathead keeps repeating himself like he does every single post it might come true and if by irrelevant you mean not the center of controversy and instability then yes the dawgs are currently irrelevant.
Let me ask you something meaty, do you honestly believe the stuff that you spew? Can you honestly tell me that aren't a bit concerned about the mass exodus and turmoil surrounding "your" team? What will happen if your best friend Budinger stays in the draft, Nic Wise transfers and Jennings cheated? Is there going to be an open tryout on campus for anyone that can dribble a basketball?
Looks like I am not the only one here who thinks you should be spending a little more time worrying about the state of your beloved program and less time telling us on a husky blog about how irrelevant we are. But I guess to do that, you would have to be somewhat humble which would banish you from being a UA basketball fan. 24 years of NCAA tourneys is quite impressive, so is becoming the only Pac-10 team with a losing league record to make the tourney but you might want to quit living in the past because your cats have been on a steady decline for the past few years and I don't think anyone besides a homer sees that changing anytime soon. Have fun in the FBI tourney next year, whatever that is.

Meatball, you are quite correct. All these comments about Arizona say's a great deal about the state of UW basketball...it's totally devoid of controversy. With Arizona in a major transition it's much more interesting to throw out what-ifs.
The only controversy at UW is who will start at guard, Overton & Suggs? Thomas & Dentmon? Overton & Smith? At Arizona it's easy...who ever shows up! Actually we all know that's set...Wise & Jennings, if Wise stays and Jennings qualifies. Which is exactly why your team is drawing so many comments. Using the term..irrelevant is..irrelevant.
