Interesting take on Brandon Roy
Posted by Bob Condotta
RealGM.com, one of the better NBA sites out there, is in the process of breaking down the season for each team.
Its analysis of Portland includes an interesting take on how Brandon Roy was able to markedly improve his game this year, with the observation that he tended to be at his best when the game was on the line.
UW fans saw that well during his Husky career and it may the aspect of his game the Huskies have had the toughest time replacing since then.

With Brandon Roy playing for the Huskies, they almost didn't really need a point guard. If the offense started stagnating he'd just drive into the paint & either put up a good shot or dish it off to someone else. You got the feeling he didn't really care who shot the ball, as long as someone got a good shot. He seemed like the ultimate team player.

Not a fan of the Huskies, but I am a huge fan of this site, which I guess is ironic. Bob provides quality PNW basketball info throughout the entire year.
I am a fan of BRoy. Smooth operator in any situation. I like how he is able to float in and out of motion with control. Guards at GU could learn a lot from him.
Class act.
