GU loses basketball recruit to ASU football
Posted by Bob Condotta
Interesting story out of Phoenix today where ASU's latest football recruit is quarterback Brock Osweiler of Kalispell, Mont. --- who committed to play basketball two years ago at Gonzaga.
Here's a story the Times wrote in June, 2006, on Osweiler committing to Gonzaga and another from Feb. 2007 using Osweiler as the focus to ask the question if some commitments are coming too early. Sounds like maybe this one did.

WOW. Didn't see that coming.
Good news is I live roughly 10 minutes from Sun Devil stadium and can watch him there.

He picked Erickson because he wants a coach as trustworthy as Few? hmmm......the mind of a 17 year old.

Amen to that. Erickson is nothing even close to Few. Not a Few fan here, but really, Mark Few has some loyalty, ethics etc...Dennis has, well...coaching skills without a soul.

Thanks Bob,
I'm here in Western Montana and that didn't make the local paper.
A lot of Grizzly fans aren't going to be real impressed with that decision.
It's a little unusual for the local athletes to not stay home, even when they are as talented at Osweiller.
