Stanford finally makes its choice
Posted by Bob Condotta
Stanford has hired Duke assistant Johnny Dawkins as its new head coach.
Here's a good look at the hire from the San Francisco Chronicle.
As the story points out, Dawkins is the first coach from the Mike Krzyzewski tree to take over a Pac-10 program since Bob Bender at UW in 1993.

Bob - Any insights to 2009 recruiting in BB? The Dawgs will have 4 scholarships it looks like but haven't seen any commits yet and according to both Scout.com and Rivals.com, there don't appear to be many highly ranked players that have either been offered a scholarship or have UW high on their lists.
