Drew Viney leaves Oregon
Posted by Bob Condotta
Forward Drew Viney, who figured to be a key player for the Oregon Ducks next season, has decided to transfer and has been granted his release.
Here's a story with some details from the Oregonian.
Viney seriously considered Washington out of high school and had an offer from the Huskies, but the story says he wants to play closer to his home in Villa Park, Calif. (which is in Orange County). So maybe he'll end up at a Big West school or somewhere, ala former Cougar Josh Akognon, now at Fullerton State.

Not surprising. This kid is a head-case and got kicked off his high school team last year because of lack of effort on the defensive end. He just loved to hang out and shoot 3's
