Dollar to remain at UW
Posted by Bob Condotta
Sacramento State University has decided to hire Brian Katz as its new head coach, meaning that Cameron Dollar will remain with the Huskies as an assistant.
Dollar was one of three finalists for the job and had an interview with Sac State officials last week, but said today that he is no longer in the running for the job.
Dollar has been an assistant at UW for all six years of the Lorenzo Romar era. This is the second straight year he has fallen just short of getting his first Division I head coaching job, having also been a finalist at Long Beach State last year.

Obviously, Dollar's a smart guy and felt this was a good opportunity for himself, but WOW: Sac State is a crummy job. If UW can get the ship righted with a couple of good years, he can do a lot better.

I have to admit I was somewhat looking forward to a shakeup of the staff.
