Here's a story from the Sacramento Bee on Cameron Dollar's interview on Tuesday with Sacramento State. Dollar is one of three finalists vying to become the new head coach at that school.
Word is the interview went well and Dollar has put himself in a good position to get this job. A final decision may not come until early next week.

Good grief. Why would Dollar want to go to a craphole like Sacramento State? He might as well hire on at Everett CC.

Could anyone speculate at this time who could be a possible candidate to replace Dollar? I'm not too knowledgeble on him as a coach but I've heard he's a good recruiter and obviously has ties to southern CA.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh well congrats c$. we all know it's coming sometime. since all this has been swirling around, it's been a dream of mine to see will conroy come back eventually as an assistant. at this point he's probably too young and he's still playing. but not in the nba. if he decides he's sick of the travel or wants a more steady job given his moves, i'd like to see him come back to the huskies.

That was the first name that came to mind, 206er.
I mean, it's easy to just pick former players out of a hat, but heck, that's what a lot of assistants are. Look at Duke with Wojo and Collins. Arizona with Miles Simon, etc.
Although I think Conroy still has a lot of potential as a pro, I don't think he's ready to hang it up. I could see him as a big motivator, though.

Dollar leaving is a bad sign. A HC at Sac St is beneath the status of any assistant at one of the top Pac 10 programs. But, admittedly, an assistant at Oregon St. would likely be grateful for the HC job at Sac St. as those people are likely out of coaching altogether. So, what does Dollar know that we don't?

My gut feeling is that this seems like the wrong place to go at the wrong time for coach Dollar. I would think a decent season or two at the UW would give Dollar a chance to apply for some jobs that don't seem to flat out suck. Sac State has been very bad for a very long time. But I am sure that Coach Dollar is well behind his personal timeline for being a head coach again.
