Tuesday night notes
Posted by Bob Condotta
A couple of notes to pass along:
--- UW assistant Cameron Dollar did indeed have his official interview at Sacramento State today. One source said it went well and that Dollar is "well-positioned'' to get the job as the new head coach of the Hornets. A decision, however, may not come until early next week. Dollar is not commenting until after the process is complete. For more background on that situation you can read our story from last Saturday.
--- Kevin O'Neill is officially out as an assistant at Arizona, which also apparently means he won't be the heir apparent to Lute Olson as head coach. That was some of the news that emanated today from Olson's first press conference with local media since taking a leave of absence in November. You can read a writeup of it here as well as watch the video. Here's another take on that from the Associated Press. Olson said it was still uncertain whether Jerryd Bayless or Chase Budinger will return next season.
--- Bill Grier says he's looking at the Oregon State job but hasn't yet accepted it. One rumor making the rounds is that Grier has been offered $4.6 million over six years.
--- Jon Wilner has a good look at a number of coaching openings in his College Hotline blog.
All for now.

good god man, you are a bizarre specimen indeed. part sports fan, part joke. its so hard to find the substance of what you're saying amongst that jumble of what can only be described as the worst nightmare of English teachers all across America. God bless you sir, and best of luck in the future.

Meatball should be thrilled by the news of Kevin O'Neiell. He's been blaming Arizona's poor play on the coach all year. Look's like there may have been some truth to it.
As far as the statement in the article's blog that O'Neill lead Arizona into the NCAA, what a joke. Arizona never should have been in the NCAA, Arizona State should have. The inclusion of the Wildcats was purely on reputation and the schedule Lute Olson set before O'Neill even showed up.

come on.....Cameron Dollar will not be a good coach........guys that are good coaches are also good players....I dont mean they are all-conference...but they are solid leaders or have high basketball IQ's.......examples.....Joel smith would be a better coach than Justin Dentmon.....and Dawg fans are kiddint themselves in thinking Romar is a better coach than Bennnett.......Romars best years thrived under having a top 15 player in the world in Brandon Roy.....and Bennnett had great role players......Bennett did a way better job.......and why if the Dawgs are so great and the fans are so amazing are they having a tough time raising money.....oh I now why......Husky fans are a joke!!!
