Today's pick

I've ridden UCLA all season so no reason to change now.
With the game about to tip, I'll call a score of UCLA 73, STANFORD 68. Bruins seem on a mission to erase any stigma from the way they clinched the regular season title, and with what figures to be a mostly partisan crowd at its back, will get a win that will also sew up a No. 1 seed.

Heard that Virginia has already accepted a bid to the CBI unless they get into the NIT. So much for them being on equal footing. Bob, if the Huskies go where do you think they will go?

Well they certainly will not get into the NIT. That tournament is reserved for perennial basketball powerhouses like UNC-Asheville, Robert Morris, IUPUI, and Cleveland State. None of which have McDonald's All-Americans or 5 start recruits like UW but all have somehow managed to be better than the Huskies. The CBI is tailor-made for Universities whose names are bigger than their accomplishments and whose fans are dumb enough to continue to care about meaningless games against other meaningless opponents and who will pay 60K to continue playing so they can convince themselves that they are relevant. So UW will get into the CBI for sure. And all you idiots can gather here on this blog and talk about what might have been because you mananged to win a home game against Sam Houston State. Enjoy! Now if only they add 12 more football bowl games maybe you could buy your way into one of those too.
