Pac-10 spring attendances
Posted by Bob Condotta
Spring football is now over in the Pac-10, with Oregon and Oregon State the final two to complete drills on Saturday.
Here's a list of official attendance from the spring games of each school, something that seems to be an increasing focus of attention around the country, for whatever reason:
USC, 22,565
Oregon 12,400
UCLA 12,000
Washington 10,000
Arizona 6,850
Arizona State 5,000
Oregon State 5,000
Cal 2,000
Stanford 1,500
Washington State 400
The source for some of the numbers is this from the University of Colorado, which for the last few years has compiled attendance numbers (the others I got from newspaper accounts).
USC's attendance is the most exact since it is the only school in the Pac-10 to charge for its game ($10). Everybody else's is free so the numbers are estimates, assuming from school officials (as was the case at UW).
LOOK AHEAD TO 2010 DRAFT --- Also, Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News had this guess at the top 15 draft prospects out of the conference. No Huskies made the list.
