Steele, Rondeau into Pacific Northwest Football Hall of Fame
Posted by Bob Condotta
Former UW running back Joe Steele and longtime Husky play-by-play man Bob Rondeau are among those who will be inducted into the Pacific Northwest Football Hall of Fame on Friday.
The pair will be inducted during a luncheon Friday at the Lake City Elks Club.
Steele, still No. 2 on UW's career rushing list with 3,168 yards, is one of two college players being inducted (the other is former WSU star Rueben Mayes) while Rondeau is being inducted in the Associate Category.
Others to be inducted include former Seahawk Norm Evans in the Pro Player category; Joe Padden in the Semi-Pro category; and long-time Mercer Island High School Coach Dick Nicholl.
Seahawks coach Jim Mora will be the guest speaker with Steve Raible as the emcee.
The luncheon is open to the public. Reservations can be made through davidenslow@msn.com. Cost is $25.
