Gervais hired at Blanchet
Posted by Bob Condotta
Steve Gervais has become the latest member of Tyrone Willingham's staff to land a new job, getting hired today as athletic director at Bishop Blanchet High.
Tom Wyrwich of our staff has the news here.
Gervais now the seventh member of Willingham's staff known to have found a job elsewhere.
The others are:
--- Chris Tormey, safeties and special teams coach at Hawaii;
--- Ed Donatell, secondary coach with the Denver Broncos;
--- Brian White, tight ends coach at Florida;
--- Charlie Baggett, receivers coach with the Rams;
--- Tim Lappano, tight ends coach with the Detroit Lions;
--- and Randy Hart, officially named over the weekend as DL coach at Notre Dame.
That leaves without reported jobs OL coach Mike Denbrock and secondary coach J.D. Williams as well as Willingham.
Gervais was a highly-successful high school coach for years in Washington, most recently at Skyline, before accepting a job as RB coach at UW prior to the 2008 season. Gervais said he had no regrets about coming to UW, saying he understood what could happen and would do it again if given the chance.
