Football coaches on retreat
Posted by Bob Condotta
Coach Steve Sarkisian's Twitter Page --- now required reading in the Condotta household --- mentioned a few hours ago that he "just broke a great staff meeting.''
What it didn't say is that the staff meeting is apparently at an out-of-the-area coaches retreat. Exactly where I couldn't confirm, but Sarkisian has apparently gathered all of his staff and taken them somewhere for a little togetherness and planning.
What's also relevant about that news is that it helps explain why there has yet been no announcement of the hire of Dan Cozzetto as offensive line coach. Sources have confirmed he's in place and working. But the announcement likely won't come until the coaches are back in their offices, which apparently will happen later in the week. So there doesn't appear to be any hangup with Cozzetto other than the logistics of getting it done.
