Best in West team out

The Long Beach Press-Telegram Best in the West list, one of the longest-running and most prestigious of these kinds of things, was published today.
Here's the story that goes with the list and explains how it was compiled.
The list includes only one UW recruit, QB Keith Price, who received three votes.
Just as telling, it also includes just one player from the state of Washington, Garfield DE Deandre Coleman, indicative of the prevailing wisdom that it wasn't a very good year for talent in this state --- and that maybe if there was a year for UW to be caught in a bad situation for recruiting in-state, this might have been it.
