Is Petersen out of picture, as well?
Posted by Bob Condotta
According to a report in the Idaho Statesman today, Boise State's Chris Petersen may soon be off the table, as well.
Here's the story, saying that Petersen and the school have had "discussions'' about a new contract. One complication -- it apparently can't be finalized until at least Dec. 4 because it has to be approved by the Idaho State Board of Education.
There has been much conjecture that Petersen isn't looking to leave Boise, and that if he has his eyes set on a Pac-10 job it's Oregon, whenever Mike Bellotti decides to call it quits.
This sounds a lot more vague, however, than the Gary Pinkel reports of earlier today, so I guess I wouldn't consider Petersen as out-of-the-picture as Pinkel, who obviously is no longer even in the frame.
