Could Polk be out for the season?

Posted by Bob Condotta

UW coach Tyrone Willingham said on his radio show tonight that RB Chris Polk could be lost for the season depending on what tests reveal about his injured shoulder.

Willingham, giving a little more detail than he did when he met with reporters earlier, said Polk suffered a dislocated shoulder that was immediately popped back into place. But he said there were still some tests to be taken on the shoulder and that depending on what they show, the injury "might be season-ending.''

Polk is a true freshman and has played in just two games so he could redshirt this season and still have four years of eligibility remaining.
