Huskies get fourth commit
Posted by Bob Condotta
As some of you have already noted, there are reports out there that UW has received its fourth commitment for the recruiting Class of 2009 from safety Nathan Fellner of Clovis West High in Fresno, Calif.
Here's his Scout.com profile, showing he also had offers from Stanford and Washington State.
UW has now picked up four commits since the last week of July.
The Scouts Inc. profile through ESPN.com calls Fellner "one of the most talented and versatile athletes in the 2009 class. A tough and agile player that has a motor that doesn't quit.'' It also refers to him as "quicker than he is fast.''

Oly --
I agree. But gosh dang I hope we're good in '08. I sincerely feel like we're getting close. But the schedule and youth of this team make me fearful that '08 will be another 4 or 5 win mess.
But if by some divine intervention we can actually win 7 games this year, then I'd say we'd be in the discussions as a BCS bowl game darkhorse in '09.

Decent size for a HS safety, and that's a very strong upper body for a HS kid that size.
BP 325
Great GPA. Nice to recruit smarts (and it takes some discipline to get that good of a GPA). Pretty good looking recruit, welcome aboard Nate!

As in a good kind of funny....
"Fans are so happy at the Huskies becoming bowl-eligible, they forget to throw things at Neuheisel as he exits the field."
That's awesome.

The new SAT does go to 2400, but as it relates to athletics, they still work out of 1600. The essay portion isn't considered in terms of athletics, eligibility, etc.

1530 out of 1600?
Forget scholarship, give him a tenured fac position! lol
Welcome, Nate
You have leadership qualities and, probably, expectations

Comment on the ESPN article:
So many haters, I wonder why? Must be fans of every Pac-10 team except for USC. No other team in the conference except for USC has done jack since the Huskies stumbled the last few years and it won't get any easier when UW is back this year.

GO DAWGS!! A strong recruit and in a needed area on the D. UW is doing the right things - it takes years to turn programs around and in todays ADD age that is hard to do. Good work UW!

HFNY hit the nail squarely on the head!
I find it amusing that there are so many HUSKY haters out there, mainly duck fans. It's comical that there are so many of you sneaking around the Husky blogs. With the way you people talk trash and continue to pat yourselves on the back for all of your great accomplishments in football, you must have a long and storied history.
So, if one of the many duck fans could enlighten me a little bit, I would greatly appreciate it!
I've always believed that UW has accomplished much, much, much more than oregon when it comes to football but after reading some of the duck posts, i'm convinced that I must be wrong.
What exactly are the three greatest accomplishments in duck history?

Like I said in late July, once we get one on board, more will follow quickly.
If we beat Oregon to start the season, its going to be a tidal wave of top recruits. If we don't, they'll still come in, but a slower pace.
