With NFL mini-camps wrapping up last week, and other leagues ending their seasons or about to begin, there's always some news out there on former Huskies. So here are a few links to pass along:
--- The season for Charles Frederick and the Kansas City Brigade of the Arena Football League is over. But not before Frederick had one last big game, catching five passes for 117 yards against Colorado over the weekend. Frederick scored 16 TDs this year for KC, which finished 3-13.
--- Isaiah Stanback, who will be in a battle to make the Cowboys' roster this season, received a healthy dose of praise in this blog entry from the Dallas Morning News.
--- Here's a good assessment of where Marques Tuiasosopo stands in the battle to be the backup QB for the Raiders. And since nobody has a clue how JaMarcus Russell will do as the starter, being the backup could mean a lot of opportunity this year.
--- This review of the end of the 49ers' off-season program leads off with some info on Dashon Goldson, who got to spend a lot of time working with the first-team defense. Sounds like he'll be right in the hunt for a starting safety job this summer.
--- Stanley Daniels will try to make the Jets as a free agent this summer and recently was one of 12 members of the team to visit a local middle school.
--- Cody Pickett has wrapped up the No. 3 QB job with the Toronto Argonauts behind Kerry Joseph and Michael Bishop. Joseph was a safety with the Seahawks for four years before moving to Canada and switching to QB.
All for now.
