Here are a couple updates on former Huskies in the Canadian Football League with the season getting ready to start up north:
--- The B.C. Lions cut Brandon Ala over the weekend but kept Caesar Rayford, who according to this story is a "very intriguing prospect'' who will likely be fighting for a spot on the practice squad.
--- Former UW receiver Jerome Pathon recently announced his official retirement and is now working in the front office for the Lions as an intern hoping to start a new career in player personnel and football operations. There's also a brief mention of Kai Ellis battling some sort of injury at the bottom of the story.
