Locker-baseball update

Posted by Bob Condotta

The Bellingham Bells are returning to action this weekend, but Jake Locker is not expected to be with them again until Sunday.

Here is the team's schedule for June. Locker did not play last night when the Bells lost to Seattle Studs 5-0 (making the Bells 0-4 for the season) and he is not expected to make the trip for three games this weekend at Kelowna, B.C.

However, a Bells team official says Locker is expected to play on Sunday when the Bells return home and then is expected to play in every game next week --- the Bells have home games each day from Tuesday-Sunday.

The Huskies are not really doing anything during that time as school officially ends this week (graduation is Saturday). Football players are essentially free to do what they want until June 23rd, when the team will officially start its summer conditioning program.
