FSN releases national schedule
Posted by Bob Condotta
I've had a few questions about FSN's portion of the recently released Pac-10 TV schedule.
So thought I would pass along this press release from FSN, which includes a schedule of its national games for 2008. Again, these are the national games, so they will be available on any FSN network anywhere. Other UW and Pac-10 games will also be picked up later for regional play on FSN, specifically FSN-NW for the Huskies (you'll see there are some openings in the schedule where UW games against USC on Nov. 1 or UCLA on Nov. 15, to name two, could be placed).
Also note that FSN reports that all of these games WILL be available on HD. So yes, you will be able to see Huskies-Ducks and the Apple Cup, among others, in HD (even the sideline closeups of Mike Bellotti).
Here's the release:
LOS ANGELES - FSN, the cable television home for Big 12 and Pac-10 football, announces its 31-game national college football schedule today. Kicking off the season with Baylor hosting Wake Forest on Thursday, August 28, FSN will televise its entire slate in High Definition.
Each week, the Pac-10 and Big 12 conferences showcase some of the elite programs in the country. This season, USC, Texas and Oklahoma continue their annual quest for the national title. Plus, with great recruiting and some new coaches, familiar names such as UCLA, Texas A&M and Nebraska are returning to top-10 form. Plus, Missouri, Kansas, Arizona State and Oregon are determined to prove their stunning 2007 seasons were not a fluke.
FSN's studio show, COLLEGE FOOTBALL SATURDAY KICKOFF, returns for its seventh season. Each week, the show previews FSN's national games, breaks down the Top-25 teams, highlights the best games from across the football landscape and profiles the top individual performances from
across the country.
The first installment of COLLEGE FOOTBALL SATURDAY KICKOFF begins at 2:30 PM EST/11:30 AM PST on Saturday, August 30 prior the Oklahoma State vs. Washington State kickoff at 3:00 PM EST/12:00 PM PST. Later that evening, Oregon hosts Washington in an early season Pac-10 battle at
10:00 PM EST/7:00 PM PST.
Overall, FSN will air 18 Big 12 football games and 13 Pac-10 contests.
