Locker 75-1 to win Heisman
Posted by Bob Condotta
Those are the odds you can get on him right now at Bodoglife.com, anyway.
That might seem high but at least he's on the list. Not sure I've seen a Husky on any such lists since Reggie Williams and Cody Pickett in 2003.
I was asked my thoughts on Locker and his ability to win post-season awards in the Q-and-A last week, and I'll repeat what I said then --- so much of these things are based on wins and losses, so that will be the biggest determiner.
Then again, despite everything else that will be critical to this team's success this season, Locker will be the biggest piece of that equation. So if the wins come, Locker will be among the biggest reasons why and given the publicity he has already gotten in his career, will get more than enough credit. So the trick now for UW is getting those wins.
Locker is one of six Pac-10 players on the list. The others are --- ASU QB Rudy Carpenter, 30-1; USC running back Joe McKnight, 25-1; USC QB Mark Sanchez, 40-1; Arizona QB Willie Tuitama, 75-1; and Oregon RB Jeremiah Johnson, 100-1.
