As the title says:
--- After listing players solely by their academic year last season the Huskies will now list them both by academic and athletic eligibility, as you can see on this roster here. Part of the reason for doing that is to make sure that players can be adequately considered for honors that might come their way due to their class, such as Freshman All-American awards, things of that sort.
--- After reviewing the roster released Thursday again I come up with 61 scholarhip players and 21 walk-ons for a total of 82. That includes designating WR Charles Hawkins as a walk-on. While he was put on scholarship for last fall, he is still officially a walk-on, meaning he hasn't been permanently moved to scholarship status.
--- If I counted right, a breakdown by class for this spring shows 20 seniors, 12 juniors, 20 sophomores and 30 freshmen. Obviously, the Huskies will likely have one of their smaller senior classes ever next year due in large part to the smallish Class of 2005 signed in the wake of the firing of Keith Gilbertson and the hiring of Tyrone Willingham.
