Just four days removed from signing their 2008 class the UW coaches are already working on 2009.
The team is holding one of its Junior Days today with a dozen or so local football players being shown around the facilities by UW assistant coaches and taking in the UW-UCLA basketball game. Among the coaches I saw showing players around were Charlie Baggett, Tim Lappano and new defensive coordinator Ed Donatell (that doesn't mean more aren't involved, that's just who I saw walking around the halls during the game).
These aren't necessarily players who all have offers or anything, but players who are on preliminary lists of possible recruits, andn Junior Day gives an early chance for coaches to get to know potential recruits and vice versa.
Ah, the minivan. That target of stand-up comedians and patronizing waves at shopping malls, even as it performs its thankless chores with versatility ...
