I have believe that washingtonpost.com is one of the best newspaper Web sites. Easy to navigate, and I love their Q&A sessions.
The Post not been afraid to expand its Web presence, as evidenced by its purchase of Slate, the online newsmag. Post CEO and owner, Donald Graham, has further extended his paper's Web site with the launch of The Root.
The Root is an online newsmag, much like Slate, except that The Root is aimed at African Americans. This is a trend you are going to see more of in American journalism. More thinly sliced publications, whether on paper or on the Web, will emerge as companies try to create new revenue streams, and reach new readers.
