KING COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
From Times staff reporter Jack Broom:
Detectives in King County and San Jose, Calif., are asking for the public's help in the investigation of a Christmas-time shooting that left a mother of three dead in California. The victim's ex-husband, Daniel Tilbury, 33, of Maple Valley, has been arrested and charged with the murder of Christine Ramos, 33.
Police would like to speak with any Seattle-area friends, acquaintances, or co-workers of Tilbury, particularly if they spoke to him before he traveled to California, where Ramos was shot at her home Dec. 29.
Tilbury is a former technical supervisor at Qwest Communications in Tukwila, police say, and is currently in custody in the Santa Clara, Calif., County Jail. Police say he recently had learned that his ex-wife was seeking full custody of the couple's three young sons.
Anyone with information about him is asked to call the King County Sheriff's Office at 206-296-3311, or San Jose Police Homicide Detective Paul Kelly at 408-277-5283.
