A Hobart-area man was shot once on the leg about 10:30 this morning, according to the King County Sheriff's Office. The suspect fled before deputies arrived.
The victim, 49, lives in a house in the 21600 block of 294th Avenue Southeast, east of Maple Valley in unincorporated King County. His injuries were serious, but not thought to be life-threatening. He was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The motive for the shooting remains unclear, but it appears the victim knew his assailant.
